The MGIMO Olympiad for Foreign students has changed my life. Participation in it not only gave me unforgettable acquaintances and good friends, but also the opportunity to get a brilliant education at the best university in Russia. Having become the winner of the Olympiad in the Republic of Tajikistan, I was able to fulfill my wildest and cherished dream — to enter the unique MGIMO.
When I applied to participate in the qualifying tests, I had absolutely no hopes and plans for the results of the competition, but somewhere deep down I hoped at least for the place of the prize-winner.
After completing all the rounds of the Olympiad, I was able to take first place in the republic and receive a budget quota for studying at any MGIMO faculty.
This Olympics is the best gift that fate could have given me. Now I am a student at the Faculty of International Relations and I study three languages — Turkish, English and Uzbek. I could never have thought that a year after the Olympics ended, so many joyful events would happen in my life — first, successful completion of all the qualifying tests, after meeting with all the winners and prize-winners of the Olympics in Moscow, in the summer preparing for relocation and moving to the city where I dreamed of studying since the eighth grade, and then — the study at MGIMO itself, difficult but interesting, dozens of different events from student organizations of which I am an active member, in January the first session in my life, which I closed for fives, and the beginning of the second semester.
Here I have found truly wonderful friends with whom I am ready to grow and develop together, become better and invest even more and work to achieve my good bright future.
Try it and I'm sure you'll succeed too!
